SHRIVENHAM VILLAGE FETE 2019: Saturday 24th August
This year’s Shrivenham Village Fete returns to its usual date of Bank Holiday Saturday, with an afternoon of fun for all the family.
Shrivenham Rec and Memorial Hall will once again play host to a wide variety of family attractions, which this year include Farmer Gow’s Mobile Farm and Circus Sensible among the main attractions.
Children are encouraged to take part in the Fancy Dress Competition (planet Earth or nature themed) and the Children’s Craft Competition, where cash prizes will be awarded to the top three entrants in each of the 16 categories.
There will also be the usual highlights, including live music, retail stalls, car boot sale, funfair rides, pony rides, dog show, children’s races, Punch and Judy and the raffle.
A broad selection of food and drink outlets will cater for all tastes, with choices from wood-fired pizzas, Thai street food, fried chicken wings and German sausages, right through to churros, donuts and ice creams. And, of course, there’ll be licensed bars supplying something to wash it all down with!
Shrivenham Village Fete commences at midday on Saturday 24th August at Shrivenham Recreation Ground. Entry to the fete is completely free and more information and a full list of attractions can be found by visiting www.shrivenhamfete.co.uk or www.facebook.com/ShrivenhamVillageFete
