The Compassionate Friends

Swindon area

A feeling common amongst newly bereaved parents is that those around them cannot truly understand their loss.

A local group was formed in Swindon in 2011. We have parents who are newly bereaved and parents who have been bereaved over 25 years.

We have parents who have lost children aged between 2years and 43 years. Our children have died from illness to accidents to those who have taken their own lives.

We meet once a month, on  a Tuesday evening, ladies only from 7:00pm to 8:45pm and the following month, on a Wednesday evening in Tesco (Ocotal Way) Community Room from 7:00pm to 9:00pm, for a mixed group of mothers, fathers, grandparents and siblings.

We offer support and understanding to one another through our unique grief.

The local group is co-ordinated by Margaret Bradbury.
