FLU vaccination is still recommended and offered for patients:
Age 65 or over on 31 March 2017
At risk patients aged 6 months to 64 years*
All pregnant women, at any stage of pregnancy
Aged 2 and 3 years (on 31 August 2017)
Everyone living in a residential or nursing home
Everyone who is the main carer for an older or disabled person
Household contacts of anyone who is immunocompromised.
All frontline health and social care workers.

*Eligible at risk patients with the following health conditions:
A chest complaint or breathing difficulty, including bronchitis, emphysema or severe asthma
A kidney disease
Lowered immunity due to diseae or treatment
Had a stroke or transient ischaemic attack (TIA)
A neurological condition (eg multiple sclerosis (MS), cerebral palsy or learning disability
A problem with your spleen (eg sickle cell disease or you have had your spleen removed
Are seriously overweight (BMI of 40 and above)
Remember you need to have the flu vaccination every year, so don’t assume you are protected because you had one last year.
Please make sure you let us know your mobile phone number as we will also be reminding patients via text to book their flu vaccination. Our texting service will then be able to let you know about the availability of other clinics/services in the future; as well as sending you an appointment reminder.
