HIGHWORTH’S COMMUNITY MAGAZINE BROUGHT TO YOU WITH THE COMPLIMENTS OF THE CHURCHES OF HIGHWORTH
To the residents of Highworth,
I write to you today to inform you of the new policing changes to your area which was implemented on the 1st November 2017.
Under the new policing beat area boundaries, Highworth will now be joined with other nearby rural towns and villages. This will include South Marston, Sevenhampton, Stanton Fitzwarren, Hampton, Hannington, Castle Eaton & Inglesham.
Due to the geographical increase of the beat area this has also increased officer numbers to the area also. With this in mind may I introduce you to the new Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) for Highworth and the rural villages, they are:-
PCSO Morgan Kelly 8075
PCSO Gemma LISHMAN 7403
This new beat also has 5 PC’s assigned to the area although they will react to jobs all over the North Swindon boundary.
As the saying goes…out with the old and in with the new! I will be moving on from the post and leaving you as the Highworth Community Officer. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all for the kindness, support, respect and assistance that you have provided to me (and the police) over the past 3 and a half years and it has been a privilege to serve you all. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here and will always have fond memories of Highworth and the amazing community spirit which exists here.
I leave you knowing that you are in good hands with PCSO KELLY & PCSO LISHMAN who are both very keen and will endeavour to work with you all in Highworth and the surrounding villages.
PCSO Lee WHEELDON 3991
