Johnny Coppin; & Mike Silver in Concert, United Reformed Church. Highworth. Friday 16th June at 7.45 pm

Johnny Coppin and Mike Silver are two of the best known folk musicians in the west of England. Many people consider that Johnny has one of the finest voices on the current scene and his partnership with Mike Silver adds another dimension.

Johnny first came to prominence in the late 1960s as a founder member of the group Decameron which enjoyed some success. Over the years Johnny has teamed up with many other artists, most recently performing a series of concerts with Phil Beer.

Johnny has hosted his own Folk Roots programme on Radio Gloucestershire for almost 20 years and his Christmas concerts are sell-out events in the area.

Mike Silver was born in Uffington so he is almost a local lad! Mike's fine voice and expert guitar playing have ensured that he is always in demand in Folk Clubs throughout the land and we are fortunate to be able to welcome him and Johnny to Highworth.

Tickets for the concert are £13 each (includes a glass of wine or juice) and can be obtained from The Lighthouse Bookshop in Highworth, from Derrick Beer 01793 762070 or from www.wegottickets.co.uk.
